The vision is to promote health in human populations, through organized community effort to fulfill society's interest in assuring conditions in which persons can be healthy. The future plan of the MPH degree program is to develop efficient public health policy makers, leaders, and practitioners through education, practice, research and service to advance the public health, especially in rural underserved communities.
To prepare the students as skilled public health specialists to promote health & health related problems through-
- Developing working knowledge to effectively identify and track the health related problems of the community.
- Developing leaders of public health administration for implementation of programs on the basis of health policy.
- Train up students to use appropriate statistical methods to effectively evaluate public health activities and to be able to conduct research on public health issues.
Education in Public Health prepares the students for a broad range of careers in health and beyond in related areas, including education, research, nutrition, policy making, urban planning, community mobilization and other development areas.
