Bangladesh has recently developed a National Strategic Plan for Higher Education for the next 20 years. The strategic plan highlights major challenges faced in Bangladesh and recommends strategies to address the issues. The strategic plan has recognized areas like limited access, weak governance and management of institutions, and low quality of higher education as the major issues to be addressed. Though the major strategic actions recommended are related to ensuring accountability and improvement in management, limitations of the ICT infrastructure, low funding, limited access to the internet were also identified as critical issues to be improved. In line with the national policies, ASA University Bangladesh will continue to enhance the quality of research, introduce subjects having global significance and adopt the state of the art technology and fruitful academic collaboration. The project aims at achieving academic excellence through establishment of QA mechanism at ASA University Bangladesh.
