Seminar on Contemporary Bangladesh: Society and Culture
The Department of Applied Sociology is going to hold a seminar at 10.30 am on 11 February 2016 at the Conference Room, ASA Tower at level 9 entitled "Contemporary Bangladesh: Society and Culture." Professor Dr. Dalem Ch. Barman, the Vice Chancellor of ASA University Bangladesh will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Cecep Effendi, Director General of the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) will be present as the Special Guest. The keynote speaker of the seminar will be Dr. Badrul Alam Khan, Professor of Sociology, Western Sydney University, Australia. Three graduates of the department will also make brief presentation of their research works including a video documentary. The seminar will be moderated by Professor S. Aminul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Applied Sociology, ASAUB.
